Rose Academy Graduation Event
Part 1 — The Graduation Speech
Scene Setting — The Graduation Evening
The evening sun hangs low over the city of Setesh, painting the white stone towers of Rose Academy in deep crimson and gold. Ceremonial banners ripple from every spire, displaying the Imperial Rose sigil and the crest of the Emperor. The academy courtyard is filled beyond capacity. Thousands of citizens crowd the terraces and grand staircases. Noble families sit beneath embroidered awnings while merchants and townsfolk stand shoulder to shoulder along the outer colonnades. Rows of torch braziers and enchanted lanterns illuminate the marble courtyard in warm amber light as twilight slowly approaches. Graduating seniors stand in perfect formation across the central plaza. Each wears ceremonial robes layered over polished armor. Their staffs, blades, and arcane sigils shimmer with pride and anticipation. Faculty members form ranks near the ceremonial platform. Imperial Knights in formal black and crimson armor stand along the courtyard perimeter. The atmosphere is celebratory… …but carries an unspoken tension, like the final breath before a storm.
🎙 The Headmaster Steps Forward
The Headmaster ascends the raised ceremonial platform, leaning slightly upon his staff. His expression is solemn but composed. His voice carries clearly across the entire courtyard.
📜 The Final Address
"Graduates of Rose Academy…
Citizens of the Empire…
Tonight we celebrate your triumph.""You stand ready to defend civilization from the darkness beyond our borders. You have been shaped by discipline, sharpened by sacrifice, and strengthened by knowledge."
"The Empire endures because each generation accepts burdens passed down through history. Every fortress we defend… every victory we celebrate… is paid for by sacrifices made in silence."
(The Headmaster pauses, slowly scanning the crowd.)
"There are debts older than crowns… older than dynasties… debts the Empire must continue to honor."
(His tone softens.)
"I have served faithfully. I have obeyed without question. But obedience does not silence the conscience."
(The air becomes unnaturally still.)
"Tonight… I fulfill a duty commanded by the Emperor himself."
Ritual Incantation
The Headmaster raises his staff. His voice shifts into Arcanum.
"Afíste ton kýklo na egertheí…
Zōḗ kai ískhys stēn autokratoría…
Dià tou bathéos líthou…
Prosférate tēn ousía sas…"
(His voice lowers to a whisper.)
"Kathe phōs… stēn skotádi tou thronou."
Activation Description
A low vibration hums through the courtyard stones.
Lantern flames bend inward toward the ground.
A crushing pressure spreads through the crowd like cold water filling the lungs.
Spectators clutch their chests. Students stagger. Several citizens collapse outright. Panic begins to ripple outward.
The Headmaster glows faintly with abyssal light.
The Final Words
"This… is the will of the Emperor…"
(He closes his eyes.)
"...Forgive me."
Sudden Interruption
The crushing pressure abruptly stops. The crowd gasps collectively, as though breaking the surface of drowning water. Faculty members scramble in confusion. Knights begin shouting commands. Panic spreads through the ceremony grounds. The ritual has been interrupted… …but something beneath the academy has awakened.
